Our pups have all been checked thoroughly by our Vet ( twice). Their first
visit is within 5 days from being born. Then they are looked at again when
they are 7 weeks old (a week before they go to their new homes).

All our puppies are Purebred and C.K.C. registered. Their lineage can be
found by looking at the Dam's and Sire's pedigrees on our website.
Pedigrees

Every puppy has had it's first shots before it leaves here.

We do Not crop our dogs ears. The ears are cropped for appearance sake
only. We believe that a) the dog looks better with "natural ears"
and b) it is healthier for the dog to have their ears the way that nature
intended them (not to mention the suffering saved from having their ears
cut and then taped to make them stand straight).

Yes , we do dock the puppies tails.

Dew claws are a nuisance to dogs. They tend to get caught in things like
sweaters, blankets etc....Lots of times they will be ripped off the paw
as the pup tries to free itself. That is why we have the dew claws removed
while the pup is very young.

Our puppies will have been de-wormed at least twice before you get them.

Both tattooing and Micro-Chipping are methods of identifying a dog if it
ever gets lost. Both methods are good, but we Micro-chip all our puppies.

We start to paper train the puppies , but as they are still
very young when they leave here ,it will be up to you to finish the training.
(Some people have trained their pups to use a litter box, just like a cat).

Our "waiting list" is a list of people that have told us that they would
like to get a puppy from us. They tell us what colour and whether they
want a male or female puppy.
When we have a new litter, we wait 3 weeks before we put the pictures
etc. on our website. In the mean time we notify the people on our waiting
list that we have new pup available. This means that they get first pick
of the litter. They get to "reserve" the puppy of their choice, before the
whole world knows that they are available.

We accept "reserves" on puppies with a $200.00 non-refundable deposit.
This can be in the form of a cheque or money order.

We are located in an old one-room school house (built in 1872),just outside
of Sunderland, Ontario. It is about a 1 hour's drive ,North of Toronto.
If you are planning to come and visit us to see the puppies, please call
ahead to arrange a time and to get better directions. Without the proper
directions, it can be a bear to find us. Maggie (705-357-1208)

Hmmm... Yes we do ship puppies wherever Air Canada flies.......BUT........
Air Canada has some restrictions that you should know about. They will
not accept live animals for shipping when the weather is TOO COLD.
This means that the pups cant fly between December to March 31. (Or
anytime the weather is below 0 degrees Celcius).

In keeping with the C.K.C. rules, we do not let any puppies leave
their mother until they are at least 8 weeks old.

Thats good!
Email me and I will be glad to answer any questions you might
have.
